There's a lot of UX resources out there but from time to time, we discover stuff that's worth sharing and keeping sight of. The two resources below will allow you to get a good idea of what UX truly encompasses.
It's great to acquire information but this has to be transformed into creative knowledge through practice.
To me UX Design is a conversation between business, customers, designers, developers, marketers and indirectly with competitors - all vying to create unique experiences - while learning from and improving user experiences.
I consider UX Design a generic term that encompasses so much - in fact too much - yet the unicorn is now a depiction fit for the purpose. Unicorns don't exist but having said that, UX will remain fundamentally nebulous because of the formless and ever changer nature of the experience being designed and improved for users - because user's behaviours change - and therefore the design process needs to be flexible and collaborative.
It is hard to see UX Design in its entirety but there's always a few resources that give a good basic and essential understanding of what we have to deal with at a high and operational level.
Go through this list to discover or rediscover the magical and wonderfully nebulous world of UX design.
Here's more in perspective. A short and sweet roll of slides worth your time. UX is crucial to digital relevant and success.
"UX strategy is about how design will help the business win in its strategy by providing value to customers in a
uniquely meaningful way."
"An experience strategy is that collection of- activities that an organization chooses to undertake to deliver a series of (positive, exceptional) interactions which, when taken together, constitute an (product or service) offering that is superior in some meaningful, hard-to-replicate way; that is unique, distinct & distinguishable from that available from a competitor."
